Overview
One of Atari’s earliest hits, Atari Football pits two players against each in other in a gridiron battle. While the graphics in this black and white game are a bit crude (its basically X and Os on a football field), the game is enormously fun. Each player takes a side on the large tabletop cabinet and uses a huge track-ball to run each play. The player can select one of four plays to run on each down.
Coin-Op Details
The game is known to build up a sweat on a player in not time do the constant rolling of the track-ball to run plays. Atari Football was also released in a four-player version in which two players play against two other players.
