Overview
Gyruss, released in 1983 is a shooting game with game play similar to Atari’s Tempest. The player takes on waves of enemy ships that form in the middle of the screen and fly outwards in every direction. The player’s mission is to travel throughout the solar system, planet by planet until they reach Earth. In addition to its face-paced game play, Gyruss features one of the best sound/musical score of a classic game (it’s actually a classical piece from Bach). The game also features bonus stages.
